It has been so gratifying to see responses and reviews of FotoDialer from every day customers. We had a lady the other day who was gushing about how FotoDialer has saved her Mom's sanity. She explained her mom was shut off from the world because she couldn't communicate with anyone. Then she got her FotoDialer and can now regularly communicate with loved ones and call emergency numbers without needing help from anyone else. Stories like this are frequent and make all the hard work of creating FotoDialer worth it.
Though we almost always have positive feedback, there are always seems to be a negative one. However, one review I saw the other day really surprised me. At the possibility of sounding querulous or whiny I wanted to share the experience. Please realize I am just relaying this experience to show what people should do in this situation. The customer purchased his FotoDialer from someone on a popular site, but was not pleased with the seller. Instead of fixing things with the seller, this customer gave the FotoDialer a bad review because of the bad time he had with the seller. Know that this seller has no affiliation with FotoDialer other than the fact they sold a FotoDialer they had. Because of this fact, it amazed me this customer would give the product a bad review rather than the seller who has nothing to do with the product.
One of the disappointing aspects of this review was the customer never called or emailed us to see how we could help him. I have tried to contact this gentleman to see how we could help, but have been unable to contact him. I have spoken with some good people that have had an issue with their FotoDialer. When we speak on the phone, we have been able to fix most issues right over the phone. Very frequently the issue is something as simple as they used batteries that are almost depleted of power or are using rechargeable batteries instead of alkaline batteries. We have had only a few (and I really mean just a few) people that needed to send their unit back to us for repair. Even then, the issues have been minor. Our rate of perfectly functional units is far above the industry. But, if you happen to have an issue or just have a question please feel free to call or email us. If you are calling outside of regular business hours just send us an email. We will be happy to respond as soon as we can.
Our toll-free number is 1-800-891-0675 and our email is sales@photodialing.com.

I previously wrote about the Get on the Shelf competition that allows for inventions to be voted on by the public to get into Walmart stores. A person can vote once on Facebook and once via text message ONCE PER DAY. So, have you voted today? Every vote counts and your help would sure be appreciated.
We truly believe FotoDialer is a remarkable product that can be the tool people need to use their phone again. It has literally saved the lives of some of our customers that were able to get the emergency help they needed. You can help more people see our product as this competition will afford great exposure for this important product. Thank you in advance for your votes!

Get on the Shelf Competition
Walmart is currently doing a competition (Get on the Shelf) where inventors can submit their ideas via a YouTube video and description. Then on March 7th, people can vote on which ideas they like. Those who make the top 10 will go to a second round of voting. The top three will make it to the Walmart website and the top pick will make it into Walmart stores! They will also receive help manufacturing etc.
This competition is in place to get superb products into Walmart that wouldn't be able to otherwise because of lack of visibility.
We think FotoDialer is perfect for this! FotoDialer will give the ability to communicate back to people who have lost that ability. Or, at the very least, it will make communication easier for us all.
Please take the time to vote for FotoDialer starting March 7th! Feel free to pass along the information to all those you know. Use email and social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and let's get FotoDialer into Walmart stores so more people can benefit from this amazing tool!

Suggestions to Reduce the Risk for Dementia
I saw a good article the other day detailing five ways to reduce the risk for dementia. Click here to see the article. The article gives ideas all of us can use to prevent having forms of dementia when we get older. Though these ideas are not surefire actions to prevent getting Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, they do seem to be great aids in prevention. So, on to their list:
1) Solve a Crossword. Brain stimulation builds brain cells and connections in the brain.
2) Play an instrument. The article suggests learning to play early on in life pays off when you are older.
3) Break a Sweat. Raising your heart rate and breathing harder can reduce dementia risk later on. Exercise can also slow dementia if someone already has it.
4) (My favorite) Phone a Friend. Being social can keep your brain young and active. So, get your FotoDialer to phone your friends and family to plan activities.
5) Order the Salmon. Fish has been called, "brain food" in the past and for good reason. To quote the article, "Brain scans showed that people who ate baked or broiled—but not fried—fish at least once a week had better preserved gray matter in key areas of the brain. The researchers calculated that eating fish weekly cut Alzheimer’s risk by almost five-fold."
Hopefully doing these five things can be what it takes to reduce our risks for dementia. And remember to get your FotoDialer based on tip number 4, "Phone a Friend."
